Are you looking for a professional, personable, talented cook to create delicious food experiences in your home? If so, we need to talk! I’m David, a former Corporate-American turned chef. After spending years in various leadership roles within the corporate food industry, I made the bold decision to pivot my career towards my lifelong love for cooking. Having left my job as senior manager in 2022 to care for my terminally ill father, I developed a refreshed perspective on life and a renewed focus on my values. And so, after he passed in early 2023, I decided to walk away from a successful food industry career and enrolled at Kendall College in Chicago and completed their Professional Cookery program in January 2024. During my time in school, I studied the fundamentals of culinary arts and gained practical experience as a Line Cook at Scratchboard Kitchen in Arlington Heights, IL. Combining this education and experience with a couple decades of cooking for family and friends, I’m eager to apply my diverse skills, analytical mindset, creative thinking, and industry experience to your culinary needs. I cook a diverse portfolio but have an affinity for Mediterranean cuisines spanning North Africa, Southern Europe, and the Middle East. Additionally, I've got some experience with Nutritional Cooking and have real world experience cooking for someone with regularly changing tastes and nutritional needs due to illness and side effects from treatments.
