I’m a 28 year old Oakland native who’s spent the majority of my professional career in the fine dining kitchens of central and northern California. I take great pride in my work ethic and particularly excel in live fire cookery, seafood, butchery, pasta, vegetable preparation, bread/pastry work and immaculate organization. After a couple years away from fine dining I have returned to California. Initially to assist with a Michelin starred restaurant opening on the central coast, I have since decided to capitalize on my connections and vast accumulation of professional experiences to expand on private chef work I have done in the past. For the better part of the last two years I have been doing private fine dining, family dinners, larger parties/events, and guided culinary adventures for various high profile clients around the western part of the US through my business: Black Sands Guide Co. Outside of my professional life, I love the outdoors and am an avid action sports and wild foods enthusiast. I use this as the inspiration for my cooking, blending interesting flavors and natural cooking methods with high end, hyper-seasonal ingredients that are locally sourced whenever possible. I have cooked a wide variety of food styles in multiple types of restaurants and use this deep well of knowledge and experience to adapt to any type of meal in any location necessary all while keeping a healthy blend of nutrition and indulgence.
