I am a Classically Trained Chef w/a focus on Alternative Diets, Special Dietary Needs and Food Allergens. I am very much an advocate of all Natural, Organic, Local & Sustainable. I have been catering to large groups since 2015. I would love the opportunity to discuss your needs and see if I may be of service to you. I very much enjoy people. I have done many catering setups from start to finish; as well as, all the food preparation for the events I am catering. I have shopped at most of the “Healthy Grocery Stores & Markets in the Boulder area. And, I have done Cooking Demo’s/Shopping in both The Boulder/Longmont Farmer’s Market. Boulder is known to be a Foodie City; but, the Local Farmer’s/Entrepreneur’s give it that small town personable feel! I love shopping in these places & supporting our own! I am a Chef by trade, a communicator at heart, empathic by nature, and nurturing from the soul! I believe that part of one’s success lies beneath their “concept of understanding.” I enjoy seeing people happy, feeding a crowd and bringing my own special likeness to a dish! I am originally from Texas; but made Boulder, my home after Culinary School. I have had many jobs in Culinary and as a Chef. I enjoy developing dishes w/locally sourced products and incorporating them into “Cuisines from Around the World”. I have been responsible for all aspects of the kitchen: recipes, meal/menu planning & development, budget/cost, shopping, re-stocking, food/meal preparation, and writing/teaching Culinary Curriculum. I have developed & implemented Culinary Programs: including a “garden to lunch” program w/fresh vegetables each season. I adapt well under pressure/stress & I am a detailed studious person. Most of my roles have been in advanced autonomous positions. I am a self-starter, ready to go type person! I like to follow & stay on top of my projects. I get to know my co-workers & clients. I am always available for questions or available to pitch-in when/where needed. I have been in the healthcare realm; for the better part of 25 years. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree from University of Texas. I am fortunate to be able to combine both Science and Culinary into one passion: that of food. I am loyal & devoted to the lifestyle of an Alternative Chef! I believe, you not only represent yourself with your actions; but, those you support as well.
