A native Atlantan and southerner, Chef Ben Truitt graduated from the world renowned “Culinary Institute of America” New York campus in 1995. After graduation Chef Ben began cooking professionally at the “Atlanta Fish Market”. During his six year tenure at "The Fish", working as the senior sous chef, Chef Ben gained experience with high quality seafood of every variety and sharpened his skills in the high pressure high volume atmosphere. After working the “Atlanta Fish Market” Chef Ben worked as the executive sous chef at “Chops”. He went on to become the executive Chef at “The Ridge at Lake Linear”. Chef Ben also worked at James Beard Award winning restaurant “Watershed” under the executive Chef Scott Peacock and “The Hil” at Serenbe with fellow CIA graduate Chef/Owner Hillary White. He also held the position of executive chef at “Flat Creek Country Club” in Peachtree city. Chef Ben moved out of the city to Newnan in 2006 - there he developed an interest in locally farmed foods, organic ingredients, and gained an affection for the small town character of Newnan and the adjacent communities. As a resident, Chef Ben felt that he could best expand the culinary options and services of his local community by offering his services as a professional chef on an individual basis. Chef Ben is now offering the opportunity for you to enjoy gourmet meals of the highest quality - skillfully and professionally prepared conveniently within the comfort of your own home.
