Chef in Fredericksburg, Virginia

To give you a short synopsis of my background: I attended First State Culinary Arts Program in Georgetown, DE. The Instructor (Chef Gary Papp) who taught the course is highly respected and sought after in Delaware, so I feel I was taught by the best. During the semester and after, I worked many prestigious catering events with Chef Papp including catering that year's gubernatorial inauguration. When he was unavailable, I eventually moved on to catering and working smaller events on my own, as requested by Chef Papp's clients. Eventually, I started a business of my own as a Personal Chef, preparing and supplying meals to vacationers in our beach resort town. During the course of running that business, I was hired as a Chef for 3 weeks for an affluent family with a variety of very strict dietary requirements, including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free diets.. At the end of the 3 weeks, I was offered an employment contract to serve as the Matriarch's Private Chef in Richmond, VA. I relocated to Richmond, and for a few years had been running the estate kitchen. My employer is a community icon, and I was tasked with cooking for her on a daily basis, while accommodating various guests with multiple dietary needs. This included catering events for fund-raisers, retreats, and family reunions, as well as events that had 100 guests in attendance. I also prepared the food for large family events during the holidays. I found myself looking for permanent full-time employment elsewhere, as my employer was selling her estate as a turn-key property, so she decided to travel the world while her new home was being built.
