I'd like to share the high points of my cooking methodology and a bit of my personal background. I am from the San Francisco Bay area and most recently pre Eugene, I lived in Malibu. I had a totally different life! I have over 25 years experience with Chevron Corporation as a marketing manager, communications specialist and corp. trainer. In southern California I worked for Anthem Blue Cross WellPoint as a senior proposal writer for pharmacy insurance. I have always had a passion for cooking and for food in general and I've always cooked. I have fun in the kitchen and it brings me a lot of joy and personal satisfaction. I made the decision to embrace my passion, leave corporate life and I just closed my eyes and jumped. I am very glad I did! I believe food is love. We nourish our bodies but it's more than that. It's pleasure....taste, appearance, scent, overall experience. Whether it's a simple weekday breakfast, a bbq on the weekend or just a series of special order requests for favorites, I make that happen. I specialize in locally sourced ingredients, organic, farm to table if possible. High protein, gluten free, vegan, low sugar, classic comfort foods and ethnic cuisine are some of my offerings. All my sauces and soups are made from scratch and I can create healthy versions of traditional recipes. Baking and grilling are two things I love to do. I have catering experience for large groups and intimate private parties. I have fund raising experience: bake sales, private meal experiences for auctions, private chef packages. Theme meals for events are something I love. From menu to set up, table scape to venue, every detail is in place. This can also translate to 'to go' menus and boxed lunches, picnics, intimate date night meals. Plus I am a happy, fun person. I am not a pretentious chef! I love to laugh, love people, have many business contacts and friends in Eugene. I have my finger on the pulse of our community. I volunteer at Egan and on Sundays I make and hand out sandwiches to hungry people downtown. I live nearby and have an 8 month old puppy.
