Hello my name is Juvenal Rodriguez, I've been a professional Chef for about 20 years but gastronomy is been a huge part of my life since I was able to walk to my granny's fridge and eat a raw onion as a snack (true story!). A lot of thing happened after the midnight spicy snack. Growing up in Venezuela with an Indian maid at home I learned pretty early in my life about the magic and power of spices, how a tiny seed like cardamom can change your day completely or an odd looking root like ginger can cure your throat. All the European influence of my Spanish mother and Portuguese father mixed with South American flavors always helped to kept my mind open. Moved to Peru at my mid 20's and open a Greek restaurant gave a sweet taste of what being a restaurateur means. All the experiences in my life, not just culinary-wise, are part of each plate I create. I believe in local and sustainable but globalization is real.
