Hello! I’m Deron Day, a passionate plant-based/vegan chef located in Lexington, South Carolina. With over 25 years of culinary experience, I specialize in creating delightful dishes that cater to the plant-based or plant forward lifestyle. My goal is to provide memorable experiences whether it’s for a special event, private party, casual gathering, or in-home meal prep. Having embraced the plant-based lifestyle myself, I understand the needs of the plant-based/plant forward eater as well as someone wanting to transition to the lifestyle. I am committed to using fresh, local ingredients, ensuring that each meal not only tastes amazing but is also made with quality in mind. I am well versed in a diverse selection of cuisines and able to “veganize” just about anything. My culinary career began in the Air Force where I found my passion for food. I attended culinary school at The Art Institute and graduated from Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts specializing in plant-based culinary. I am a licensed Food For Life instructor through the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, a program teaching healthy plant-based nutrition and cooking. I hold the Plant-Based Nutrition certificate from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies. I am also ServSafe certified and insured.
