Chef in San Diego, California

I'm an
Individual
I am a 34 year old talented, culinary professional looking to break out on his own. I've got more than a decade's experience working in various kitchens, mostly high volume, up-scale casual styles of dining establishments.. I spend a lot of my free time teaching myself at home different culinary techniques that I haven't had the occasion to use at work.. I have a background in Italian, French, Mexican , and Asian styles of cooking and still trying to increase the number of dishes in my repertoire. Working as a private chef will give me the time I would like to focus on the food itself and not how fast I can get out 2oo dishes. I have catered one wedding, and just looking for more chances to show what I can do on a more personal level I can prep meals for the whole week or just come in for the occasional meal or dinner party. Anyways, you won't regret it. My food is delicious and wonderfully imaginative. No worries all experimentation will be done on my own time at my own expense. Tell me what you want to eat, and I GUARANTEE I can do it. I am also nutrtitionally aware, so I can cook to health requirements. Anyways, if you might be interested in someone coming in to take some of the meal time stress off your hands, or just someone to come in so that you can take credit for the food, (wink, wink) Gimme a call. Or email. I'll be looking forward to hearing from you. 6701 Kelly St. San Diego, CA 92111 (... [email protected] Donny J.S. Camp To whom it may concern, I am a talented culinary professional, and father of four , currently looking for full time employment. I am loyal, professional, experienced and reliable. The execution of good cuisine is what I love, and is one of my more developed talents. In the interest of keeping my resume short and sweet, it does not reflect my true experience. I’ve been part of five restaurant openings in the San Diego area. I’m capable of running the line, managing a kitchen or restaurant, or just rolling up my sleeves and turning out consistently delicious food. I'm fun to work with, friendly, focused and have a wide array of kitchen and management skills. I consider myself a highly valuable asset to any employer and am just looking for an opportunity to prove it. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration. Romano's Macaroni Grill Escondido, CA Head Prep Cook/Back Room Manager I started out as a regular prep cook. Three days later I was in charge of all the prep cooks, the stewards, and the dishwashers. Chipotle Mexican Grill Kearny Mesa, CA Service Manager / Apprentice in Training In the last two years I worked my way up into management, but still get my hands dirty on occasion. Mainstream Bar and Grill Poway, CA Lead Line Cook I helped open this restaurant. I worked every station on the line, and was put in charge in my chef, and sous' chef's absence. I was without a doubt a leader in the kitchen. Unfortunately I was let go, due to high payroll. I was assured I was let go because it was easier than letting go of some others, since I had two jobs. I was told I did a wonderful job, and they wanted to make sure they were on my list of references. 3/2014 –... San Diego Pier Café San Deigo, CA Line Chef The menu was very simple here. I focused on regaining my chops in a full service kitchen, and my speed. My responsibilities were prepping, cleaning and restocking my station. At the time I was trying to work two full time jobs, and ended up driving my car into a ravine. Due to bodily injuries and the loss of my car I had to resign from this position.
