I have worked in dietary in a long term facility. My father died last may prior to his death of cancer for about a year I would cook for him when my schedule would allow. He had to move in with my younger sister. We all pitched in to do what we had to do. I also again when my schedule would allow took him to his doctor appointments, finally came hospice care then comfort care though I wasn't there at the final moment I fed him his last meal for some reason he preferred my food.
