I'm looking for some part-time work, while I plan a home based food business. I am a classically trained European Chef (non Red Seal) with my training taking place at Glasgow College of Food Technology. I have worked overseas (Scotland) mostly in classical Italian cuisine, and some classical French, Italian and casual fine dining here in Canada. I have been doing some private catering, but have taken the last 10 years off to be a single parent. Seeking part-time morning prep/garde manger work making stocks, sauces and preparing mise en place for lunch or evening service. I could occasionally work an evening shift to cover events/functions or staff shortage. In addition, I can be contacted for consultant work in kitchen analysis and menu preparation. I can also provide kitchen and wait staff training, and some bartending training. My skill range in the kitchen is above average. I can work any station except pastry and have experience in wood fired Pizza ovens and some Chinese Wok work.
