Chef in Mobile, Alabama

My name is Zacchaeus Golden..... a 25 year old chef originally from the Mississippi delta.I have a very unrelenting passion for culinary arts. I moved to Mobile AL after graduating high school and attended Bishop State Community where I received my associate's degree.I have been cooking professionally for six years,in that six year time I have worked for over fifteen restaurants.Most of which would be considered casual or fine dinning.Including time at two James bread award winning restaurants in New Orleans and one Michelin star restaurant in San Francisco. I have also had the great pleasure of being a part of two grand opening teams,both in Mobile AL. I have held every position in the kitchen from dish washer to Chef de cuisine..... original culinary training consists of basic classic french techniques and a lot of bread baking! Of course naturally I'm very skilled in my Heritage cuisine,which is known to most of the world as soul food. Which most times carries a bad reputation,because it can sometimes be poorly represented. My style of soul is very authentic, antebellum inspired,and vegetable heavy.While still delivering all the great pleasures of comfort food!Being a southern boy it's impossible to escape Cajun and Creole cooking is everywhere so I know all about.Also I have two years experience in Mediterranean cuisine, three different locations two of which are award winning.One authentic Israeli,the other authentic Moroccan.The other has influences from all over the Mediterranean. I'm definitely looking to take my career to the next level,by putting all the great experience, skills,and techniques that I have acquired through all my travels,studies,hard work and never ending pursuit of more knowledge and understanding of this very diverse food world to good use! I also have experience in banquet or catering style service.
