I'm Thom, founder of Uppercrust, a professional chef service located in Plymouth, Michigan and providing services for adventurous clients throughout Michigan. All of my menus are personalized to my clients' needs and requests and informed by my world travels as well as my time at Secchia Institute for Culinary Education in Grand Rapids, MI. During my time in the culinary program, I was able to secure a culinary internship in Florence, Italy for three months in Summer of 2022 at Il Locale in the historic center of the city. I have excelled and impressed academically - I even cooked several meals for the President of the college. I intend to bring that dedication and attention to detail to your home kitchen. Uppercrust mainly provides in-home private dinners throughout Michigan. Every dish I create has a story or an inspiration, informed by my world travels and never-ending journey of culinary curiosity, and I am glad to be able to share it all with you. Each menu infuses techniques gleaned from these experiences combined with fresh, local ingredients sourced from Michigan’s own farmers.
