I have been working in the culinary industry since high school, & my goal is to develop my wheelhouse with every new client/ job to one day open up my own establishment & land better opportunities with each new venture. At this point in my life, I have worked in an American Style bakery, The Marriott @ Warner Center, which would hold banquets, kosher events, & weddings often along with a phenomenal kitchen & dining area for patrons, & currently for the last 2 years I have been employed with a plant based school called MUSE. Also my first summer with a camp in Mendocino County run by the Boys & Girls as a lead cook along with the title "vegan chef" Along with this I have completed a number of classes at Los Angeles Mission college for cooking & baking. This ranged from breakfasts/lunches/dinners, both quick & yeast breads, culinary techniques, & working with a range of equipment & products utilized by the school kitchen. My current set of skills are menu planning & special diet meal planning / prep, baking normal/vegan/g.f. desserts, cooking of all meats in various methods,(ex: grilled, slow cooked, oven/stove top), knowledge of healthy eating, adaptability & versatility, ability to lead a team, & an overall passion to try new recipes & satisfy the needs/ preferences for those I cook for. To round this out, I am a Philosophy major & currently on my last 2 classes for transfer at community college, & am a full time employee with MUSE. I will make arrangements with any clients within reason for events or general job descriptions if hired. Thank you for your time; stay fed, but always hungry ! -Hilton
