Chef in Kalaoa, Hawaii

My name is Liz and I have been a professional Chef with extensive experience in the food service industry, specifically high end catering and fine dining for the past 15 years. Prior to the pandemic I was traveling as a Chef in the tourism as well as the health and wellness industry. I most recently worked as the Executive Chef for a yacht in Hawaii and prior to that a luxury yoga retreat center in Panama. I am passionate about incorporating a balance of local, seasonal products while focusing on sourcing organically grown vegetables, sustainably caught seafood and free range farm animals. I practice healthy cooking techniques paired with inspired flavors from my international travels to create balanced menus for my clients. I learned how to make pasta in Italy, studied curries in Thailand, and traveled to Mexico many times for my love of tacos because of my passion for food and learning. Due to the stop of tourism during the pandemic I have relocated back to Massachusetts where I was raised and I am currently staying in Portland, Maine with family for the month of July. I am familiar with the amazing local products that are offered here in Maine and I find the summers in New England an inspiration for creating farm to table menus.
