Hello all, I am Chef Mateus. With 15 years of professional experience and two degrees under my belt, I have cooked for some of the cities elite. I was a chef in the #1 restaurant in Houston and Best Restaurant in The State, Xochi where I worked under the direction of James Beard Award winning Chef, Hugo Ortega. I left the restaurant and went on to cook for Houston Rockets players Joe Johnson and Pj Tucker as well as Margus Hunt of the Indianapolis Colts. Prior to, I worked in restaurants ranging from fine dining to high end casual. I am passionate about food and put all of that passion into every dish I prepare.
