Imrun Texeira has worked in some of the world's best and most influential Michelin-starred restaurants, including Noma in Copenhagen. He has continuously contributed to the Canadian food scene as opening Sous Chef of Stofa restaurant in Ottawa, one of Canada’s Top 100 Restaurants during his time at the restaurant and while working under 'Canada's 100 Best' Most Innovative Chef award winner Chef Marc Lepine of Atelier Restaurant in Ottawa.
Chef Imrun was recently a semi-finalist on the Food Network’s Top Chef Canada Season 8 and a finalist on the Food Network’s Chopped Canada Season 3. In 2019, he was also a regional finalist in the Hawksworth Young Chef Competition.
Prior to his Food Network debut, Imrun was appointed the Chef de Cuisine of the renowned Bartlett Lodge in Algonquin Park. In 2016, he was nominated for a College’s Ontario Premier’s Award, which recognizes the outstanding contributions Ontario college graduates make throughout the world.
Chef Texeira's culinary style can be named as 'New Canadian Cuisine' where he showcases local produce, foraged ingredients and blends them with flavours and techniques from around the the world.
