Chef Job in Boston, Massachusetts

Assisted Living community in the Boston area is seeking an experienced chef who is responsible for the overall operation of our dietary department and creating a flavorful, exciting menu. The Chef Manager plans menus, creates recipes, and cooks for meals and special events for the community. The Chef Manager manages the department budget and orders all food, supplies and equipment. Responsibilities also include hiring, training and scheduling of all dining department associates. The Chef Manager maintains compliance with all EOEA, state, local and OSHA regulations regarding dietary standards, infection control practices, and workplace safety.Qualified candidates will have experience in a senior living or similar setting, a minimum of 3 years management experience, and certification in "ServSafe". A degree in Culinary Arts or Hotel Restaurant Service is preferred.
