As a young girl my paternal grandmother was always in the kitchen and I wasn't too far behind. Watching as she moved about the kitchen in a soulful dance. Knowing deep down that would be me some day. She instilled in me the love of food and the magic of bringing those you love together at the dinner table. On the other side of that coin was my very southern maternal grandfather. A master at stretching a dollar to feed his family and living off the land. A hunter, fisher and farmer all rolled into one. He made sure I would try anything where food was concerned. And I found out most of what I tried I liked. So here I am years later with a very diversified heritage that includes African American, Irish, Italian, German, American Indian with a sprinkling of West Indian. How could I not be drawn to food? I love good food and I love to prepare good food. Cooking for me is therapeutic. I love what I do and I am very satisfied to be doing what my heart desires. I am excited to share with my clients what I've learned from my grandparents and my culinary studies as we work together to make the personal chef experience memorable. The sky is the limit, let's pull out all of the stops with tried and true family recipes or trying new recipes making them our own.
