Authentic Jamaican Cuisine Business Address: Unit 100, 21 Macdonald Drive, Fort McMurray AB T9H 4H1 Work location: Same as above Type of Employment: Permanent, Full Time Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Description: • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods • Cook authentic Jamaican cuisine with sometimes shortage of ingredients due to location maintaining authentic taste • Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies • Inspect kitchens and food service areas • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food • Order supplies and equipment • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment • Clean kitchen and work areas • Organize and manage buffets and banquets • Manage kitchen operations • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances • Prepare catering orders Requirements: -Education: Completion of high school -Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience If candidate does not have at least 3 years of experience a post-secondary certificate is required. -Experience in Jamaican cuisine is an asset Salary: $16.00 to $18.00 hourly, 40-44 Hours per week. Position requires flexibility in scheduling; including evening or weekend hours as needed. Overtime will be required when we have catering.
