Fifi's Bistro is an exciting new restaurant opening in the Upper Village of Whistler in August 2017. The concept is simple. We are focussed on producing homestyle, scratch made cooking in humble and gracious setting. We strive to bring old favourites from the dinner table back to life in an elevated way. Reinvigorating family recipes and exploring the world of cuisine which brings warmth and comfort to the table. We are looking for a Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager to join our passionate team and assist us with developing the concept, creating the menu and setting up the logistics of the kitchen. Alongside recruiting, training and developing cooks to create a culture of enthusiasm and respect. The position will commence full time from August 1st with the opportunity to contribute earlier as the demand requires. This role is suited to a professional, career driven Chef with a minimum of 2 years kitchen leadership experience and a flare for creativity. Baking, butchery and clean, scratch made cooking skills are essential. This great person will: - have a visa or work permit with a minimum of 12 months remaining - be able to show proven success in managing a kitchen - posses an ability to work autonomously when required and follow directions as needed - have arranged their own accommodation Wage and compensation will be discussed based on experience.
