We’re looking for a part-time dessert chef (with potential for full-time position) who can take dairy-free desserts to a whole new level. You will be working directly with the store owner and you will get to express and experiment your unique ideas for the future of plant-based desserts. The more innovative and creative you are, the better! Qualifications: Candidate must have either recently graduated from an accredited culinary institute or had a minimum of 2 years of bakery production experience including bakery food cost experience and recipe development. Experience making plant-based desserts (specifically ice cream and chocolates) is a major plus. Working knowledge on baking with ingredient limitations (desserts that are dairy-free, gluten-free, sugarless, etc.) Creative and innovative thinker. You will be the artist in the kitchen. Great interpersonal skills in dealing with all business contacts. Responsibilities: Create and design a dessert menu, with specifics to be discussed with the owner. Purchasing and stocking of baking materials for the kitchen. Maintain and grow relationships with purveyors and local peers within the industry.
