PROFILE
Classically trained in painting and illustration—I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Rhode Island School of Design and did graduate work for two years at Boson University. I am also the consummate professional. For thirty years, I have not only held leadership posts at many of the top restaurants in Maine but co-owned the State’s first year-round French restaurant.
It is a time of change. My culinary skills are highly developed probably best in all areas of hot food and cold food as well as extravagant display and most definitely menu writing as seen most recently in those created for the award winning Harraseeket Inn Sunday Brunch. I am really good at communicating, teaching, leading a team to victory in a timely fashion and in a serv-safe manner. Baking and Pastry is also strong and gifted.
In an unexpected turn of events, I have the opportunity to change or alter my focus from Brunch to any other area of the Culinary. I love to learn and do or create new things, most recently delving into the area of Street food Around the World and executing some of the most exciting material. Much experience has been gathered in cooking and orchestrating international cuisines.
I am interested in finding a position where I can utilize this amazing knowledge and skill set while operating in a busy, sane, sanitary, organic-minded, nurturing environment; a job that allows me the freedom to create within a cost conscious structure working with like-minded humans and contributing excellence and hard work all the time! Private Chef could be another interesting pursuit/challenge employing these same ideas but on a smaller scale. The time is NOW! I am anxiously awaiting an opportunity to use these talents again!
