Under the guidance of the Sous Chef, the Line Cook will play a very important role in the success of the Restaurant by focusing on guest satisfaction and maintaining excellence in operations execution. The successful candidate for this role will ensure the highest level of service is provided to both guests and to Field & Forge Brewing Co.’s team member. Criteria: Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure. Be able to follow instructions, deliver consistent quality work. Be respectful towards and supportive of colleagues. Have a strong sense of team spirit and understanding of great customer service. Be able to trouble shoot situations when necessary, good at problem solving. Partake in discussions and work with the crew to create a conducive working environment. Responsibilities: Set up work stations efficiently with correct cooking utensils and service gear. Prepare daily Mise en Place and quality control all food products. Ensure all dishes are prepared according to speck sheets, ensure consistency. Be sure to be 100% ready for service. No last-minute rushing around. During service, keep a strong focus on quality of food, time of execution, taste and presentation. Work cleanly and safely all the time. Support your crew members in ensuring everyone is ready for service. Ensure all products are stored correctly all the time and at safe temperatures. Ensure labels and dates on all products. Support the crew by assisting in maintain the prep list. Support the crew by noting down products to be ordered. Fill out daily temperature sheets. Restock your station before leaving. Complete your daily cleaning criteria for your station before leaving. Do a hand over to the next crew to set them up for success. Qualifications: Working line experience in a high-volume kitchen. Comfortable working with a variety of kitchen equipment. Safe knife skills and practices. Organized, clean and efficient working habits. Good understanding of safe work practices. Follow HAACP Principles. Willingness to learn as well as to teach. Creative and open mind set approach to the cooking arts. Effective communication skills and value the importance of sharing information. Ability to work under hot or cold conditions, long standing periods and regular lifting. Hours of Work: The hours of work for this position will vary depending on organizational requirements, but will include evenings, weekends and holidays.
