We are looking for a passionate and creative Food Services Manager/Executive Chef for Mulberry PARC in Burnaby. In this leadership position you will play a key role in delivering our promise to seniors who choose to live with us. You will lead a team of highly motivated and skilled individuals in creating superior culinary and dining experiences for our residents and meeting the high standards our organization is recognized and respected for. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of our food services department including menu planning, food ordering, staff management, scheduling, inventory, cost control and working collaboratively with the management team and staff to ensure 24-hour service delivery excellence. Qualifications we are looking for: ∙ Diploma/certificate in food services management and Red Seal certification or equivalent ∙ Five years of experience in a leadership role in a hotel, restaurant or seniors living environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience ∙ Proven expertise in developing, leading and motivating a high-performing team ∙ Experience in recruiting, training, scheduling and managing staff ∙ Outstanding communication and relationship building skills ∙ Expertise in menu planning ∙ Knowledge of and experience in all kitchen equipment and operations ∙ Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment ∙ Knowledge and experience in food purchasing, inventory and budget control ∙ A passion and empathy for seniors Did this ad pique your interest?
