Hi there! Im Chef Marvi Lou and I have been a professional Chef for the past 13 years. Born and race in the Philippines but continued my cooking ventures here in US. It all started when i was growing up in my mothers humble restaurant, where i gain the knowledge on how to meticulously choose ingredients from the fresh market. I would watch my Mother take those fresh product to her wood burning kitchen and transform those ingredients into meals that becomes memorable to all. Since i left home, i had great pleasure and opportunity to be able to work with different amazing Chefs and types of cuisines. With boundless support and mentorship of 8 years, the new Executive Chef of Grand Geneva Resort Nelly Buleje has been the predominant pillar that help mold me to have a successful career in the culinary industry. Started our culinary journey from Hilton Head Island South Carolina, I had master and adapt Low Country flavors and made it my own verson of perfection. I did a number of private parties and events for family on their time share, group of golfers and different local offices and establishments in the area. Ive been an integral part of engineering Modern Costal low country, Mediterranean, Asian and Steakhouse restaurant concepts. I have been a Chef de Cusine in quite a few awarded restaurants like Haywards of Sonesta Resort and Adega Modern Mediterranean Restaurant. I have been a Banquet Chef at the Meteolpolitan @ the 9 a boutique hotel in Cleveland and currently Im the Banquet Chef in Grand Geneva Resort focusing in cold kitchen prouction. I had travel in so many different country, and trained and worked with different nationalities, which has been a big influence on the way i cook today With Chef Nelly, my mentor, we had quite a few Awards from different cooking competitions which we are very proud of. Another great thing about me is that I dont only focus on savory food but I am also a baker. From a great selections of breads & pastries, dessert display and customized cakes which are perect for weddings, birthdays and any type of event you would want to celebrate. With so much passion and love for food, I create and execute menues focusing on seasonality of ingredient, best quality, great flavor and artistic presentation. I carefully source local and imported product, working with vendors locally internationally, and collaborating with great Chefs from the area. I prudently creat dishes that can best accommodate you and your guests wants and needs. I am proficient when it comes to dietary needs especially vegetarian, vegan and any food allergies. I will always make sure that you get the best service you deserve. I am looking forward to making your next event "Marvilously" remarkable.
