................................ We would like to invite you to participate in the 2nd Annual Local Celebration of International HerbDay on Saturday, May 6 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., presented & sponsored by Lovelight Herb Farm and Bella’s Soap Box.   We are looking for a Chef to demonstrate the use of cilantro, the Herb of the Year. In exchange for 2; 20-30 minute demos (morning and afternoon) we will give you free booth space to advertise your services. You could also team up with a colleague if you wanted to. Our mission is to celebrate the many uses of herbs in our daily lives; emphasizing cultivating herbs locally, building the local herbal community, teaching people about herbs and how herbs benefit our bodies and the environment around us. We see this day as an opportunity to enrich our local communities while speaking to the importance of sharing herbal traditions. The event is free and open to the public; with a suggested donation to support Occupy Medical.  We are supporting Occupy Medical with fundraising because we align with their goals of sharing herbal traditions and supporting access to healthcare for all. We were overwhelmed and thrilled by the event’s response last year and outgrew the farm space in the first year, with over 200 people visiting the farm that day. So, we are moving to the local Central Grange for this year’s event. Located at 87200 Central Rd, this venue doubles our available parking, doubles our vendor capacity, has space for 2 speaker areas AND a workshop area, has indoor bathrooms and has a kitchen for tea! And all for a very reasonable price for the whole day.   The Central Grange allows us to offer indoor and outdoor spaces for up to 30 vendors & information tables; there is a musician's space in the back with lots of room for afternoon dancing and enjoyment; and a kids area under a large shady tree for planting sunflowers and making flower presses to take home.  Our speakers will enjoy spaces inside with seating to share their topics of choice.  Tea & refreshments will be available inside with access to a full kitchen and seating.   New this year is an additional space inside for teaching full workshops for a small fee.  Plenty of space for student participation and demonstrations. There are many ways you can participate at the HerbDay Celebration: * Sponsorship * Herb of the Year, Cilantro Sponsorship - Over $100 - Inclusion in all marketing (radio, newspaper, TV and more), Facebook Event page,  day of event Sponsorship poster, large logo on the event entrance banner and included on the main event flier * Marshmallow Root Sponsorship - $50-100 - Inclusion the Facebook Event page,  day of event Sponsorship poster, small logo on the event entrance banner * Chamomile Sponsorship - $20-49.99 - Facebook Event page, day of event Sponsorship poster   * Vendor table * Do you make and sell herbal products?
