Hey Fellow Foodies, ABOUT ME: My name is Julien Kaine. I am a 30 y/o chef with over 10 years of experience in a professional culinary environment. In the span of my career so far, I have had the opportunity to explore many different aspects of what this industry has to offer. From running a Grill station in the middle of the infamously busy Salsa on St Clair festival, to cooking a full Christmas dinner for a family of 8 on a Catamaran boat; sailing across the Atlantic ocean. My love for food has brought me to many places, and taught me the importance of embracing the foods of every culture, and to always try to taste everything at least once. All of these experiences have culminated to this; cooking for YOU. I've always been a foodie, since I was old enough to chew. My favorite cartoons were the ones with the delectable looking animated food items; the sizzling steak, the steaming stack of burgers on a platter. if there was food involved, I was involved. In fact; after watching the movie Ratatouille in 2007, I immediately jumped onto craigslist and applied to my first real kitchen job right down the street from my house. I took my first steps into the kitchen the very next day, and the rest is History. Menu Options: I have worked in many different culinary environments, so the recipes I possess tend to range from many different cultural ethnicities. I have foundations in West Indian\ Caribbean cuisine passed down from my mother, but also have been trained professionally in French-inspired cuisine, Grill pit mastery, and much more! Naturally, I will accommodate Food-related allergies or preferences to the best of my abilities (i.e Gluten-Free, Celiac, Dairy-Free). Hosting a party? Impress your guests with a plethora of delicious hors d'oeuvres, fresh baked pastries or desserts, if that is to your liking.
