Responsibilities: - Hire, train, and supervise restaurant employees, and provide on the job coaching & performance reviews to improve operations and streamline customer service. - Ensure operations and food safety following the Federal and provincial laws as well as the municipality legislations at all times, and to manage Safety Inspectors visit before opening and onwards - Create staff schedule to ensure appropriate staffing - Track stock levels of food, supplies, and equipment, forecast needs, and oversee ordering as necessary - Take ownership of budgets and cost control methods to minimize expenses - Address customer needs, comments, and complaints promptly, solicit customer feedback and relay to team and management to improve operations - Adhere to and enforce employee compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards - Process payroll and maintain all relevant records - Ensure all employees are working within outlined operating standards - Report on financial performance, inventory, and personnel Qualifications: - Education in Hospitality and food service required; Bachelor's degree in Hospitality preferred - 5 years of food and beverage service industry experience a must, managing a restaurant and a bar, catering and banquets , - 2-3 years Manager position required Licences/Certifications; - Valid food handler certification - Service in Action training certification - Food establishment Manager training certification Skills: - Working knowledge of general restaurant and bar operations, including personnel management, food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation and health codes, and security - Friendly with an ability to establish a genuine connection with the guests - Strong interpersonal and communication skills: Bilingual is a must, Hindi or Punjabi is a plus - Excellent leaderships and organizational skills and ability to multi-task under pressure - Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business- including nights and weekends - Energetic team-player with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude - Demonstrated ability to manage operating costs in accordance with budgets - Comfortable setting priorities and delegating tasks as needed Offer: We offer competitive wages based on experience plus a professional and friendly and unique work environment Reference ID: NawabGM-A1 Job Type: Permanent COVID-19 considerations: masks, distancing, alcohol sanitization
