Camps Airy & Louise, one organization that has 2 Summer camps located in MD. Both locations have a full service operation (commercial kitchen, dining hall) and serve 600-700ppl, 3 meals/day, 7 days/week snacks and special activities like trips/carnival/parties/staff nights etc. We operate from mid June through mid August. As part of our team you will Live at camp, be part of the camp community, and have fun while you work with the beautiful views of the catoctin mountains in western Maryland. We are seeking experienced Food service professionals to join our team! Looking for motivated individuals with a great attitude, and a drive to get the job done while experiencing the fun of summer camp and opening the door for many summers to come. >>> Work dates are June - August 2024 >>>Must be available for the full period and able to travel •• we accept applicants from any state of the 48 contiguous United States. >>> Our Hiring process requires an updated resume showing relevant work experience, 30 minute video call interview, and providing 2 professional references. >>> Each location has a KM, FOM, 6-8 cooks, special diets cook (GF, DF, Vegetarian/Vegan, etc.) and an inventory control person, in addition to the domestic crew we bring in international support staff (prep cooks, dining hall staff, dishwashers and inventory staff) ••our workplace is multilingual! >>> Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): • Will complete the Food service staff training upon arrival at camp. • High volume fast paced work environment Feeding 500-700 campers and staff per meal, Follow weekly menu, recipes and special dietary needs. • Knowledge and execution of food safety standard, cooking temperatures and safe food handling. • Basic food preparation and operating a line, Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. • Adhere to all Cleaning, sanitation and food production codes. • Adherence to State of Maryland Health Department and American Camp Association Standards. • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances. • Must be able to do light work, exerting up to 50 lbs. occasionally, performing such activities as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, pulling, walking, pushing, lifting, etc. • Ability to stand for long periods throughout the day • MUST be able to Provide Valid SERV Safe Food Handler Certification. >>> Compensation and benefits: • competitive pay, **Pay is bi-weekly. • completion (end of summer) bonus • Housing provided (All staff required to live on site) • 3 meals/day, Laundry, shuttles and more
