CATERING-CHEF & LINE-COOKS El Huarache Loco seeks outgoing part-time & full-time , line cooks / executive chef for their fast-casual restaurant in Larkspur, CA. El Huarache Loco serves authentic Mexico City street food. The restaurant is a quick service operation serving high quality food using fresh local ingredients. *Catering Sales Director: -- Facility that does Banquets, parties, meetings etc . Catering Sales Director needs to be very detail oriented and organized. (This person must have good communication skills and speak English fluently, bilingual (Spanish) would be a plus ) • Answer and respond to all inquires (mail, email, phone, walk-ins). • Schedule and conduct personal consultations, invitations, details, and final meetings for clients. • Close sales & finalize contracts with clients. • Review previous business/clients and contact for rebooking. • Obtain guaranteed counts/payments/details for all events. • Communicate detailed information with Management, Banquet Captains and Executive Chef. • Coordinating final details and counts with all Wedgewood Vendors. • Presentation and professionalism of personal appearance and office maintenance. • Attend at least 2 Bridal Faires and promote our venue to potential clients. • Time Management (Office meetings/appointments, event space, events, rehearsal times/space). • Coordinate Wedding Rehearsals and Day of Coordination. • Meet and maintain all quarterly booking and revenue goals, as set forth by management. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Tremendous hospitality and interpersonal skills (Oral/Written/Listening/Presentation) • Strong organization and time management skills • Willingness to do "whatever it takes" to get the job done • Must be willing to work long hours, all weekends, evenings and holidays • Works well under stress and pressure • Ability to relate to a diverse set of team members and clients • Understanding of financial statements and revenue reports • Ability to lift chairs/tables/linens Qualifications: • College degree • 2 years Catering/Sales experience preferred but not required • Strong computer skills required • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook a must • Knowledge of Caterease Software recommended but not necessary • Ability to analyze and solve problems **Chef: Experience in breakfast service a plus. A solid understanding of contemporary and classic technique required. Positive attitude and good team building skills imperative. Ability to problem solve, maintain quality of product. Must be able you lead by example and be hands on Weekend and daytime availability, willingness to work a flexible schedule. Must be able to work weekends. Must be able to safely lift 50 pounds, stand for periods of up to 8 hours Day to day responsibilities include: --Management of all kitchen staff --Daily production --Daily ordering --Supervising the cleanliness, sanitation standards and organization of the Kitchen --Quality control --Expediting service --Supporting the line as necessary --Collaborating on daily specials --Training of staff Requirements: --Between 3-5 years of experience in a fully operating kitchen, holding the position as Executive Chef. --Have had practical work experience in every position within the kitchen in regard to food production, expedition and presentation. --Have CA food handlers card or ServSafe certification. --Computer savvy, excel and word. --Culinary certificate/degree preferred .Only apply if you are available to work every Saturday and Sunday
