Chef Job in Meeker, Colorado

DESCRIPTION: • Proactively coordinate with family daily for planning of Month, Weeks and Days and special events. Check in regularly for changes to the schedule. • Preparation & serving of all meals for the family and their guests as required • Prepare meals ahead of time as requested for employer’s later use (e.g. on weekends) • Dress in a chef uniform jacket/ black pants chef uniform for dinner service. White polo or lighter jacket and khaki pants/ shorts appropriate for lunch service. • Be available for & participate in planning of for special events e.g. birthdays, celebrations, dinner parties. • Shop, stock, organize, and clean prep area, fridges, pantry and cooking facilities on daily basis. Pantry floors to be mopped/ cleaned after dinner service. • Run household errands as needed. • Oversee house maintenance and ensure completion of tasks. • Keep track of expenses, account for all purchases and shop responsibly to limit wastage. • Anticipate and accommodate all special dietary needs Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen/ pantry/ Grill House areas at all times, especially floors after use. • Must be aware of the daily schedules of each family member, as well as all upcoming social occasions and vacation schedules. Must be prepared for impromptu guests. • Work as part of a team and helps other members on staff when needed, even if not cooking-related, especially when Principals are out of town. • Answer texts/ phone calls promptly, even when off-duty. • Be respectful of the family’s privacy by keeping conversations you hear around the house strictly confidential and allowing them their space. • Be respectful of the family’s property, maintaining tidiness at all times (e.g. kitchen, car). • Be courteous and cheerful.
