Chef Job in Port Moody, British Columbia

We are a family of two adults, one teen and one toddler with some complex food restrictions. We are looking for a chef with experience preparing gluten-free and grain-free recipes, who can bring flavour and creative solutions to help sweeten and spice up our bland food lives. We are looking to hire someone two half-days a week to make baked goods, snack-food, and kid-friendly meals in batches. Days of the week and hours are very flexible, and if you need us to work around your other commitments, we are open to that. Rather than preparing lunches or dinners, we really need help with things like baked goods, snacks, and eat-on-the-run items, that are so difficult to find for people with food restrictions. The kinds of things we are looking to have you make include: Kids (all gluten-free) •⁠ ⁠kid- friendly casseroles and lasagna •⁠ ⁠savoury pies and pasties •⁠ ⁠quesadillas & tacos •⁠ asian dishes of all kinds (half-asian household) •⁠ ⁠power balls, bars, and cookies •⁠ ⁠gf bread and loaves Adults (very restricted, and grain-free, diet): •⁠ ⁠Soups and stews pressure canned •⁠ ⁠crackers and cookies •⁠ ⁠roasted veg and veg snacks (like kale chips) •⁠ ⁠spreads and sauces and dips •⁠ ⁠special diet breads and loaves •⁠ ⁠special diet savoury pies and snack bars While we are happy to point you to suggested recipes and some tried-and tested favourites in the beginning, we are ideally looking to harness your superior understanding of flavours and foods and have you suggest new recipes and options that we can explore.
