Brand New casual quick serve Vegan/Vegetarian fast food restaurant looking for hardworking, passionate, highly motivated and talented individuals to work in a creative environment built upon self respect and pride. Head chef are required to have knowledge to Prepare special meals like seitan, tempeh, hummus, etc or substitute items. Regulate temperature of ovens and broilers. Have an awareness of dietary choices (gluten free, vegan, macrobiotic) and the ability to adjust menus to meet these needs.Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish. Maintain food logs and inventory. Monitor the quality and quantity of food that is prepared. Ability to maintain an approachable manner when interacting with customers. As a Line Cook and prep, you will be responsible for completing all assigned prep work, setting up cook's station, maintaining product presentations, product quality, cook time standards and preparing all menu items according to Resturant recipes, plate presentations and specifications. Duties of this position will include set up of equipment, verification of stock, the cleaning of cooking equipment, and preparing food items, making RAW Juice and Smoothies to specification while maintaining a clean work area. A qualified applicant must have good communication skills, able to lift 25-50 pounds, use knives, slicing and other food preparation equipment while standing and exert well-pace mobility for periods of up to 8 hours in length.
