Job Title: Bakery Manager Business Address:  48-900 Gibsons Way, Gibsons BC V0N 1V8 Work location:  Same as above Employment Type:  Full Time / Permanent Estimated Start Date:  As soon as possible Wage: $34-$36 Job Description:  Plan, direct and evaluate the operations of the Bakery Department  Manage staff and assign duties  Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors' operations on sales  Determine merchandise and services to be sold, and implement price and credit policies  Source and negotiate with vendors when necessary to procure merchandise for resale  Develop and implement marketing strategies  Plan budgets, authorize expenditures, and monitor revenues  Evaluate and improve customer service and respond to customer requests and issues  Address staffing requirements, including the hiring, development and retention of staff  Order materials, equipment and supplies  Oversea the baking of mixed dough and batters  Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food  Draw up production schedules  Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards  Inspect kitchen and food service areas  Keep records related to deliveries, inventory, and production levels  Oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods Employment Requirements:  Completion of secondary school is required.  A minimum of 1 year of experience as Bakery Manager  A minimum of 3 years of experience as Baker is required. The shifts per day are as follows and will be assigned depending on the business needs: 5 AM to 2:00 PM 6 AM to 3:00 PM 7 AM to 4:00 PM 9 AM to 6:00 PM A 30-minute unpaid lunch break will be provided as well as 2 paid healthy breaks of 15 minutes. Overtime may be required.
