Chef Job in Mississauga, Ontario

We are currently hiring for a LINE COOK to join our team. Must be available to work evenings and weekends. Part Time and Full Time positions available. Job requirements: Must have previous experience as a Line Cook, must have very strong comprehensive skills, must be very well organized, ability to multi-task, ability to work under pressure, ability to work with minimal supervision after completion of training, ability to work on the feet for extended periods, must be very detailed oriented, ability to follow orders, must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn, must be a team player with professional demeanor who treats others with respect. Must be reliable, dependable, hands-on and focused. Food Handler Certificate required; First Aid ( an asset);WHMIS (an asset); Own transportation (an asset); Personal set of knives (an asset) Job Description: prepare kitchen line for the shift, cook menu items from A to Z in a timely manner;check/measure necessary ingredients; wash, chop, and portion food;use of all equipment;Prepare and handle food according to program guidelines, Check, clean refrigerators, trolleys,utensils and additionally kitchen equipment on a daily basis; Maintain kitchen area clean and hygienic;Make proper use of leftover food items to minimize wastage; clean up after closing, etc
