It is the responsibility of the Executive Sous Chef to source and prepare foods for each event according to assignment by the Executive Chef. Time management is a MUST. Essential Functions: Supervises/Manage Kitchen team to include efficient staffing, employee development and training, performance management and policy enforcement Maintains clean and sanitary food preparation and storage areas at all times in accordance with state and local sanitation requirements and codes. Makes purchasing decisions (food, paper goods, supplies) for the kitchen, ensuring budgetary considerations. Develops strategies for increasing sales and profitability within management scope. Prepares the weekly kitchen work schedules. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 1. Must be Able to DRIVE 2. High school diploma or equivalent/Culinary certification or degree preferred 3. Five years supervisory experience in quality food and beverage production. 4. Experience in multi-tasking of projects and project management. 5. Basic Administrative computer skills. 6. Excellent guest service and hospitality skills. 7. Strong problem solving and listening skills. 8. Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail 9. Ability to handle and maintain confidential information. 10. Ability to function and act independently. 11. Ability to work well with people, in a team environment, and to communicate effectively
