Meal prep for a primary caregiver and an Alzheimer's patent. for every meal (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) on a weekly basis. Hoping to find someone for a 3-month duration. I am an Alzheimer's caregiver and I have been having difficulty keeping up with both our nutritional needs. I am currently working with a nutritionist for myself, and would like to take what we are doing and expand on it, making sure I can get 7 meals prepped for me and at least 7 meals for grandma (Alzheimer's patient) / Per day. I like to incorporate a multitude of disciplines and styles. -- Looking to hire a chef to work for a private individual and his small family in the Granada Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles. You would be cooking mostly for a caregiver and his grandparents. Weekday lunches and dinners, and snacks (Monday through Friday) Typically for 5 people. Dinners would also be for 5 people. 2 parents 2 grandparents and 1 young caregiver. Meals should be healthy - always protein, veggies, a little bit of good carb. Lots of fish, chicken, pork, there are dietary guidelines that they would like to implement and they are happy to discuss with the potential hire and execute. Will provide you with my nutrition plan so that we can work around that. Expertise or specialty in Middle Eastern cuisines would be fantastic, but not necessary. Aside from Middle Eastern cuisines, American, Italian, and Mediterranean cuisines are also desired. Mediterranean dietary knowledge is highly helpful as that is the ideal diet for the household from a personal background view and from a brain health perspective. We would like to work with the potential hire to create 2 cooking days wherein all the meals for the family’s week will be cooked and prepared in advance. This will ideally be a long-term position. Very low-key family, not too demanding at all. We will not necessarily need someone everyday, 2 workdays a week in which the chef could accomplish making the family’s weekly meals would be ideal. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks for Monday-Sunday. Responsibilities: - Grocery Shopping: Split responsibility with family for creating a weekly meal plan, compiling a detailed grocery list, and ensuring our pantry is stocked with high-quality ingredients. We appreciate someone who can source fresh, organic, and local produce whenever possible. -Family will assist in the grocery shopping and weekly meal planning as we would like to implement their nutritionists plan. -Family takes care of their elderly grandparent with Alzheimer’s, your assistance will be greatly appreciated by them. - Meal Preparation: You will be expected to prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, afternoon snacks, and dinner for our family. The meals should be well-balanced, delicious, and tailored to our dietary restrictions. We value creativity and variety in our meals, while keeping health and nutrition in mind. - Dietary Restrictions: Our family has specific dietary restrictions, including sensitivities to dairy, mold, yeast, and gluten. The personal chef ideally will have experience in catering to such needs and possess knowledge of alternative ingredients. - Meal Planning: Split responsibility with the family. We appreciate a personal chef who can create a diverse and exciting menu for us each week. You should be able to accommodate our preferences, take into account seasonal availability, and consider any special requests. Will provide you with extensive guidelines and resources to accomplish meal planning. - Cleanliness and Organization: Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen is crucial to us. The personal chef should ensure proper storage of food, practice excellent hygiene, and clean up after meal preparation. Requirements: - Ideally Certified Personal Chef (CPC): Possessing a CPC credential from the United States Personal Chef Association (USPCA) is ideal/preferred. This certification ensures that you have met the rigorous standards set forth by the association and have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel as a personal chef. - Prior Experience: open to all experience levels. Having worked or working as a personal chef or in a similar role is required. We value culinary expertise, creativity, and a demonstrated ability to cater to specific dietary restrictions. - Must pass background check - References: Strong references from previous employers or clients are essential. We would like to hear about your reliability, professionalism, and the quality of your cooking. ideally chef will work 2 days a week and create the family’s entire week of meals.
