The QUEENS INTERNATIONAL NIGHT MARKET is seeking diverse chefs-for-hire and new food vendors to feature, starting again in April! Do you have culturally authentic food, art, or merchandise to make or sell? Do you have cultural traditions you would like to preserve and share with the community? If so, become part of the Queens Night Market! We've featured vendors and food from over 60 countries over the last two years. What: The Queens Night Market is a large, family-friendly, open-air night market featuring up to 100 independent vendors that sell merchandise, art, and food, and featuring small-scale cultural performances and entertainment, all celebrating the rich cultural and ethnic diversity of NYC and Queens When: Saturday nights, 6pm to midnight Where: Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, Queens Visitors: 8,000 each Saturday night What You Can Make/Sell: There are no categorical restrictions on the kinds of things you can sell or offer. While you can sell merchandise, art, or food, or even host fun games, we are family-friendly and primarily focused on cultural authenticity and traditions. We want you to share your cultural influences with our visitors and to be willing to share the story behind what you are offering and why it is important to you and your heritage. Job Details: Applicants interested in the paid chef positions would be guaranteed a nightly salary, with potential to make bonuses depending on the success of the project. Vendors with access to a vehicle and familiarity with various cooking equipment (including propane-fueled equipment) are preferred.
