Chef and Kitchen Manager responsibilities, skills and experience required Job Description: We are actively looking for experienced sous chef that can demonstrate knowledge and understanding of busy restaurant. The right candidate must be able to work closely with the owner in establishing the menu for most feasible working conditions and bring in ideas for seasonal menu options. Job Responsibilities: • The quality of the food in all areas of the day-to-day operations will be of the utmost quality and will coincide with the specifications put forth by the executive chef and the owner of the restaurant. • To ensure all employees of the kitchen staff are monitored throughout the day as to their performances, punctuality, health and safety policies and procedures. • R&D of new menus • Ordering and Maintaining kitchen inventory following protocols set by the executive chef. • Assist in scheduling of kitchen staff. • The candidate will be required to work on the line at the Wok station during the time of service. • Oversee and assist in prepping the food before service • Oversee the cleanliness and work in compliance with restaurants health and safety policies and regulations. Skills and Experience. • Minimum 2-year kitchen manager experience • Excellent verbal and communication skills • Knife handling skills • Decision making skills • Pressure handling and time management skills • Minimum 5 years of experience working in kitchens and 3 years in a similar work environment. • Experience working with Woks. • Job Type: Full Time • Salary to be discussed based on the skills and experience of the individual.
