Primary Role Order and prepare all food, supervise any support staff, carry out first aid duties, and submit all paperwork. Must be able to remain in Remote Camp at FORTRESS LAKE,BC in Hamber Provincial Park June 1 to October 1. Qualifications and Experience FoodSafe Level 1 required Valid First Aid required Certificate or diploma in Cooking/Culinary is an asset Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Head Cook/Chef Experience cooking in a remote location preferred Experience with inventory and ordering procedures Personal Attributes and Skills Great culinary ability and a keen sense of FINE DINING Self-motivated and independent Excellent organizational and time management skills Good comprehension and command of the English language (written and verbal) Good physical stamina; capable of lifting loads up to 50lb and working long hours on your feet Professional image with good personal hygiene Positive and professional attitude at all times Responsibilities: Food Preparation and Janitorial Prepare Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner daily Prepare bagged lunches as required Bake daily sweets such as pies, cookies, cakes and squares Bake daily bread products Perform janitorial duties as specified in Camp Specifics Sheet Ensure food quality, presentation and timing is met on all items Ensure food safety standards are met and maintained at all times; fill out all Temperature Logs daily Ensure kitchen and storage areas are clean and organized at all times Maintain public dining area in a clean and well-stocked condition at all times Carry out proper receiving and storage of grocery orders Responsibilities: Management and Paperwork Plan weekly menu to reflect contract requirements and guest preferences Order food and supplies based on RETREAT occupancy, menu plan, existing inventory, and predicted delivery dates Communicate with Expediter Responsibilities: Professional Conduct Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times Respond promptly to client and staff inquiries and requests Address complaints and resolve problems professionally and diplomatically Reports to: Camp Manager
