Looking for an individual with high energy and at least 1 year of Seafood Fry Chef training or experience for a fast pace seafood take out and outdoor dining restaurant near Downtown Norwich Ct. Staff needed April - October but will have additional positions opening from May to September for catering and line chef. Lunch shifts and dinner shifts available up to 40hrs a week, plus tips and bonus. Menu can be found on the restaurant website http://....com/
Responsibilities
Task will include but not limited to: Opening kitchen, propane fryer, grill, and oven start up, daily food prep for 200 covers, inventory control, food ordering, and clean up/reset kitchen for the following shifts. Owner will train the right candidates on the process to plan, start-up, open, operate, and manage a food truck, restaurant, or catering business as part of internships.
Requirements
MUST BE SERVSAFE CERTIFIED! If not SERVSAFE certified, willing to train and certify the right individual based on experience and compensation. Experience must be in culinary or hospitality and have a minimum of 12 months school or OJT. Experience with fried seafood is strongly recommended as well as cooking temperatures, seafood handling, soups, stocks, sauces, portion control, and have above average knife skills. Must be well versed with Fried Seafood breading, handling, and cooking to temp. Grill and Saute' is a plus but not required. Send resume to internships(at)johnnysclamshack.....
