Chef Job in Vancouver, British Columbia

Duties include (but are not limited to): Completing food order / food shopping prior to the trips departure, preparation of meals (4 meal times a day), keeping inventory of all food & house cleaning supplies. The vessel holds a crew of 19-21 people working on a 6 hour on – 6 hour off rotation (24 hours a day). Meal times are approximately 5 am, 11 am, 5 pm and 11 pm (snacks and coffee should be available throughout the day). Meals are expected to be generally healthy while fulfilling all food group requirements – frozen or pre-packaged meal options are not considered acceptable. Versatility is a necessity as cooks are expected to provide plenty of varies meal and baking options, though crew does not expect / require elegant or overly complicated dishes. Camp work is an asset though not specifically required. Medical & Dental benefits provided after 6 months.
