We also have a ½ acre garden with two greenhouses and berry bushes that our Garden Bistro uses to prepare dishes with newly-harvested ingredients Business address: 2290 Goldie Road, Lake Country, BC V4V 1G5 Work Location: Same as above Type of Employment: Full time - Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Description: Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food Recruit and hire staff Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales and inventory Estimate food requirements and food and labour costs Analyze operating costs and other data Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs Requisition food and kitchen supplies Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances Create new recipes Requirements: - Education: Completion of high school is required. - Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a cook is required.
