Chef Job in Ottawa, Ontario

Looking for highly skilled and experienced sushi or regular chef to join our team! Very friendly staff and great working conditions. This position will be a full-time position and would include consistent night shifts ranging from 6 pm-2 am. Job duties will include the following: - Skilled in cutting, slicing, and preparing different types of sushi rolls, bowels, and combos. This can include things such as Maki D'indochine, Buddha Wrap, Poke Bowl, Nigiri, Sashimi, Hosomaki, Futomaki, and Maki. - Inspecting the quality of fruits, vegetables, and fish used to prepare sushi dishes in order to ensure the quality of the food. - Preparing various types of sushi dishes according to established guidelines on quality, portion size, presentation, and food safety. - Ensure that the work environment is kept clean in order to prevent food contamination. - Communicating appropriately with customers in order to ensure that any special requests and or food allergies considerations are met.
