Chef Job in Lethbridge, Alberta

626 Consulting is hiring for two full-time Chef’s to assist the Head Chef’s in a variety of locations within the city of Lethbridge for 40 hours per week. In our company, the Chef is a culinary chef ranked just below the executive chef in our hierarchy. As a result, it is an extremely important job and one which could lead successful candidates towards a career as an executive chef. Chefs (NOC 6321) may perform some or all of the following duties: • Prepare and cook complete meals or specialty foods, sauces, soups, salads, vegetables and meat, poultry, and fish dishes • Knowledge of company food specifications while maintaining consistency • Adherence to food cost control guidelines • Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food • Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs • Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff • Maintain inventory levels • At times, may be required to order food and kitchen supplies from various suppliers • Food handling and cleanliness • Must be reliable and able to work under pressure while unsupervised • Other duties as assigned by management Completion of secondary school is required. 626 Consulting is an equal opportunity employer, only applicants considered for an interview will be contacted.
