Western Reserve School of Cooking (WRSoC) in Cleveland is recruiting for cooks with experience that are dedicated to their craft and want to take their game to the next level. WRSoC has partnered with some of the major restaurant groups in the area to provide them with back of the house talent. Specifically, line cooks. These restaurant groups manage some of the major restaurants in the area. If you have industry experience or a culinary degree and want to get back into the game, or raise your game to the next level, WRSoC wants to hear from you. We will review applications, perform an initial screening, and then if we feel there is a good fit, offer you the chance to be enrolled in our 7 day Culinary Boot Camp. Details on the class content and costs will be discussed during the initial interview, but we will be covering multiple skills including, but not limited to: ServSafe, “Misen Place”, knife handling, culinary terminology for cuts, brunoise, julienne, bias, etc...Understanding recipe development, steps in recipes and why they are necessary. Soups, stocks, mirepoix, the 5 mother sauces, pan sauces and the uses of fonds. If you complete the WRSoC Culinary Boot Camp successfully (final testing is required), you will be better prepared for the “real world” of what restaurant are looking for, and you will become a part of a great business that is offering opportunities to work for some of the finest restaurants in the area. We have the connections to get you placed and starting on the line is just the beginning of your journey. As you prove yourself in the kitchen, the sky is the limit. This Boot Camp is a 1st class, intensive week with high expectations. Chef coats and hats are included. Serious candidates only.
