Chef in Wilmington, North Carolina

I'm an
Individual
While studying Nutrition Science at University in New York, I spent countless hours in the Food Science lab. Some of the courses that deepened my understanding of cooking and appreciated for food safety were the following: food preparation, advanced food science, food service management, microbiology and culinary chemistry.   These courses taught me practical/advanced styles of cooking while teaching how food is nutritionally impacted in the process of heating/cooling.  After studying at university, I went on to teach for four years in non-profit settings. I was employed to teach healthy, produce-based cooking & nutrition education classes to the community. Over the course of two years, I was lucky enough to educate thousands of adults and children at farmers markets, schools, alongside doctors and even had the chance to teach third-year medical students.   The experience I gained while teaching community nutrition classes gave me the skills to take on a full-time private chef role in Beverly Hills. After a year as a private chef, I catered retreats, adventure trips and gatherings for groups in SoCal and NY. Now, I live in Wilmington with my fiance and rescue dog. I've freelanced at A Thyme Savor catering & currently work full-time in the health tech space. My focus as a private chef is to provide nourishing, plant-centric dishes with a focus on local produce/offerings. I'm looking for clients that would like me to come to their home, prepare local/fresh meals for an occasion or to have for the week to ensure they are eating and feeling their very best.
