The suitable candidate(s) will possess a proven track record in time management, leadership, and organizational skills in a kitchen environment. You skill set will include (but not be limited to) the following: -Preparation of all necessary nourishments and meals according to menu plans -Follow recipes provided. -Ensure overall quality and presentation of food is appealing -Ensure to follow dietary restrictions, follow textures needs and provide alternate choice -Sanitizing all work surfaces and equipment used -Service of food to all residents, including plating of food and placement of food in front of residents -Washing and proper storage of equipment, smallware used during shift -Cleaning of the kitchen as per the cleaning schedule -Maintain confidentiality of all Residents and Personnel information -Receive order, verification and proper storage of supplies -In the absence of the supervisor, makes decision on required menu changes -Assist with food and supply orders -Complete required HACCP logs. Adhere to safe food service practices. -Maintain a safe work environment at all times (i.e. – Use wet floor signs when spills occur) -Responsible to perform according to safe work practices by: -Learning the safe way to do the job -Seeking instruction of unfamiliar equipment -Using provided personal protective equipment -Reporting all injuries and hazards to your supervisor immediately. -Any additional duties as designated by management -Catering set up, delivery and clean up This position is ideal for individuals with meticulous cleaning habits and a good eye and mentality for details.
