We are opening up a new restaurant in Providence, RI and looking for talent to join our team. We are developing new pricing and menu for the busy lunch time. The Executive Chef is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day culinary operations of the kitchen in Providence. As a Culinary Partner, you manage the back of the house. Job Requirements: Two years experience as an Executive Chef or equivalent Must be certified food safety manger in Rhode Island and experienced in executing safety practices Capable of leading team to maintain sanitation in the kitchen; responsible for keeping back of the house organized Creative menu development and standardization skills; work with management team to develop SOP. Supervise kitchen staff for daily operation and give performance reviews; work closely with the management team to identify and develop employees for future leadership roles Must be able to facilitate and effectively execute training Experience with purchasing and inventory systems Taking full responsibility for inventory and cost centers for all food Checking all kitchen equipment and setting it up for daily use Must be able to work an average of 60 hours per week Ability to manage a large team while delegating tasks and ensuring consistent follow-up Strong communication and organizational skills Must Read, write and speak English fluently Graduate from an accredited culinary program preferred Previous restaurant management experience preferred Ability to handle difficult/challenging situations
